MR. ANTOINETTE VAN CAPPELLE

Antoinette (graduated from Leiden University 1989) specialises in employment law. After work experience with Nauta Dutilh in Rotterdam during her student years, she enjoyed working for the same firm for almost ten years as a lawyer, first in the Transport Department, then the European Law/Company Law Departments and finally the Employment Law Department.

In 1999 Antoinette set up business on her own, specialising in employment law, having successfully passed the Post-Academic Employment-Law Course (PALA) in 2001.

Her client base includes businesses, insurance companies and private clients.

Her day-to-day work includes advising employers or employees in individual or group redundancies, interpreting non-competition clauses, drafting/advising on employment contracts, as well as advising behind the scenes to avoid disputes.

In addition to employment law and termination of employment law, Antoinette has over the years handled professional liability cases on behalf of insurance companies and their insurees; this involves potential professional errors in employment-law cases, for which lawyers and other legal advisors are held liable. She also has wide experience in cases in which claims are made against company doctors and occupational health services.

Antoinette acted as deputy judge at the Court of Zeeland-West Brabant for two years. She applies this experience to the advice she gives her clients.

As a specialist in employment law and termination of employment law, Antoinette is a member of specialist organisations the VRAA (Rotterdam Association of Employment-Law Lawyers) and the VAAN (Netherlands Association of Employment-Law Lawyers).

MR. JAN WILLEM IJSSELDIJK

Jan Willem IJsseldijk graduated from the Erasmus University Rotterdam in 1992. He has practised as a lawyer since 1993 and in that time has represented many Dutch and foreign companies in various areas of law.

During his studies he worked, inter alia, for four years with the Tax Law Department of the Law Faculty, worked for Ernst & Young (EY) and gained work experience with the law firm Nauta Dutilh.

Alongside his work as a lawyer, Jan Willem served as chair of a hospital complaints committee for 8 years and undertook various management positions with several associations and foundations.

Jan Willem is a member of the Rotary Club of Rhoon-Barendrecht, the Rotterdam Running Ambassadors (RRA), the WTC Business Club, the Vliegclub Rotterdam (Rotterdam Flying Club – the VCR) and the Rotterdam Association of Employment Law Lawyers (VRAA).

His expertise lies in the fields of employment law, procedural law, construction law, banking law and general civil contract law involving businesses on a day to day basis, such as agency contracts and distribution agreements. His work is guided by a fast-response and pragmatic approach to problems.

GABRIELA TROGRLIC

Gabriela Trogrlic is 19 years old and is a student at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. She is currently sitting her second year of the bachelor’s degree course in Law.

Alongside her studies, Gabriela is supporting PIJVC with the requisite secretarial and administrative tasks.
